All Updates

All my updates are now going to be at the links below.  They will distinguish old from new art, by media.  This way those who do not want to weed through fiber arts to see photography, etc., have easier site viewing.  It also challenges me to create in a balanced manner, in all the media I love.

Art is so fun, and I am so blessed to be married to a man who thinks this is great too.  Yippee!  Please join me at the other sites.

Distinguishing Old from New

In order to distinguish the old from the new, I have created another blog to show the new pieces of art.  Please link up with me now at http://www.robbinneff'sart.blogspot.com/ to see how my new creations are coming along.  I needed to update this blog to make it easier for people to find.  The official site name for this site is http://www.robbinneff2011.blogspot.com/.  It leads many to think all my work is old.  That is not as professional as I would like the art to appear.  Please consider following me at the new location.  Your understanding is appreciated.  You may also see my photography at http://www.robbinneffphotography.blogspot.com/.

Links to New Images of Art

Sandy, the seahorse and turtle are colored pencil on textured paper for pastels.  It is kind of like ultra fine sandpaper.  Thank you.  If you go to the new blog:  http://www.artbyrobbinneff.blogspot.com/, you will see better images of them.

Sometimes poetry from long ago fits.  This one fits tonight.  You should hear me read it, with kleenex.

Life Gets in the Way*/**

If you want to know who I am,
You missed it.
I dreamt of being the best artist.
I dreamt of living with love.
I dreamt of loving as I lived.
I dreamt of sharing wisdom and wit.
I dreamt of exploring life with you.
There was supposed to be more laughter,
and fewer tears and mistakes.
There were moments on top of my game,
and some that were not.
If you had been there,
it would have been better.
I dreamt of it differently.

I never dreamt of alone.
You missed it.
There are the paintings and art
created along the way.
There are the words and ideas I saved.
I photographed it all, for you too.
There was so much to have had together,
But you missed it.
You have the remnants of dreams
to do with as you wish.
There are the memories left.
If you wanted to know who I am,
You missed it.
I loved you all along my life.

Maybe now you have time.

Camera Findings

Miss Pumpkin

This is Miss Amelee Rose.  She prefers the recliner.

This is a detail shot of a quilt haning on my wall.  It has special meaning.  These are the jewels of our family tree.

Another detail shot of the same quilt.

This little fellow was stuck inside the screened patio.  He was freed as quickly as he was stuck.

A pen & ink with colored pencil, mixed media piece.

Comments ae being an issue.  For some reason there is no way to add a comment.

Please bear with me while I work out the kinks.
Fine art is after the delayed posting of fiber play.  Please excuse the mess, and step around.  Follow me please.  Watch your step.  This way now.

New Yo-Yo Delights

I have been making Yo-Yo Delights throughout the month.  This month I made these.  I will post all of them for sale individually on my etsy site, Robbin's Feathered Nest, later today.  Prices will range between $5-10.  You can help keep the creativity rolling by purchasing one of these to add on a purse, barrette, leg of shorts/pants, anywhere.  They are fun, and get a lot of attention.

This is one of my favorites (below), and one of the $5 pieces.

If anything in particular strikes your fancy, from the pictures above, just post a comment requesting information, and I will send you the price.

Crazy busy.  This is part of what I am working on now.

His Cross

The blood shed, the chains broken, the steps He walked, the Key He remains, the One ,the Only, the stars and sun He set in their paths, the path He leads of mine, the love He has for you, three crosses, eternity, for eternity, He is the Key, His is the vine grafted.  Can you see?  Do you know?  904.220.2727  Let His path be worn by your feet.

When doodles get away, they become zentangles. Zentangles are also intentional doodles.

Trees.  I love trees.  There are always trees.  Every time I look at a tree, I can see where it has stretched for the sun, or worn its outer skin.  There is often evidence of war within, but likewise, there is often evidence of peace, as well.  How like trees we are.

Shells are everywhere, and ready studies.  This will launch another piece in color.

My tiger jumped out of my sketchbook, where I had a postcard of the original.  The original lives so far away in Canada.  I doubt I will ever see the it again.  I love this piece.  The owner has a pelican of mine, if I am not mistaken.  This was one big cat, any way you looked at him.

Remember what I was saying about doodles?  Apply all thoughts here.  Continue on.

This would be much nicer had I taken the time to edit him to his correct spectrum.  Eventually.  Watch for him.  He could be in your future soon.

HAPPY VALENTINES EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!

As I was saying about trees and doodles....  They ran into one another here.  It happens frequently, and the poor dears cannot help themselves.

A perch is a perch, and birds often frequent works in progress as often as trees.  Now I know you fishing folks know of perch a site differently.  Well, keep watching.  He's around here somewhere, and is bound to poke his head in sooner or later.

Manatee are gentle on artists as well.  They like to swim by and get the sense of the place.  Then they slowly move off to their own, or what should be their own, stomping grounds.

Turtles abound everywhere.  This one has been living here for awhile.  He needs to scoot along.

Trees.  By no means full circle either.  Refer to previous notes, all of them.  Ha-ha-ha.  All of them.  Not if you don't have time.  The cirle of life grows ever larger with the next tree sprouted.  Media always spontaneous.  Trees never end here.

You have to see what this becomes.

Use the side bar and bottom bar to see this next one.  What do you see?  Post a comment and share your thoughts.  On any of these.  The relative size can be seen above, and in the last pic.
